discontinue this item or improve it's stability. I would recommend the mfg. This is by far the cheapest built, worst item I've ever purchased online. Not only did it have more than half the hardware missing, but the strength of the steel is very poor.
This is not a super heavy duty $50 stand but it doesn't cost near that either. Also this stand comes without any assembly instructions, but to be honest, it's really not that hard to figure out, especially as that there are only one size of each connector. Very much dragging on the floor and they're going to be worn through.
It in not made of exactly heavy gauge steel but not a light guage either. Another plus was that all bolts, nuts, and washers are the same size so that there is no getting the wrong bolt in the wrong hole and having to go back and locate it. I certainly did not think that this was a cheap piece of flimsy Chinese junk.
If you loose a piece in that great hole in the universe where nuts, bolts, and washers disappear into these are all connecters that can be found at the local tool-in-a-box store. The down side is that the rubber feet are puny for the job. This is a great value in a light to medium duty stand All parts on mine were accurately stamped so that there was no hole that was that agrivating "within a knat's hair" of fitting.
The pain job on the parts was of good thickness, not just a quick single coat.
Could have been a 5-star review otherwise. I took off a star for the poor quality "rubber feet" --- they're cheap, cheap. This stand is well worth the $16.88 price. I had no problems with assembly or hardware.
And the cost was only 1/3 the cost of the other one. Now I have another Tool Stand on order which will be used to hold a Jig Saw. I looked all over the Internet, only to find 2 tool stands.
It is very sturdy. The saw weighs 65 lbs. The Drill Press weighs 100 lbs.
What a neat Tool Stand. What fast turn around. The Tool Stand is used to holds a Drill Press. The Cummins Tool Stand is a great buy.
This Tool Stand by Cummins was the best in my opinon. It seems like after ordering it, in a week the stand was dropped on my front step.
Enough said. Also, typical problems with Chinese-Made products, I had one bolt that did NOT have any threads on it. Cummins Industrial Tools Universal Tool StandVery Poor Quality. All included bolts would NOT tighten up without buying lock washers for each one, due to the fact that carriage bolts were used and the steel that the stand was made with was too thin.
